Exams 2023

Keep Calm and Work Towards Exams 2023

The storm of Covid is thankfully disappearing in the rear-view mirror and a sense of normality abounds. However, there is also sense of angst about grading for exams 2023 and the potential of ‘paying the piper’ for the previous year’s soft assessments. My advice is simple and it’s to be laser-focused on the prize to be as well prepared as possible.

We know that top marks are going to be difficult to achieve this year, and for the most part, everyone’s in the same boat. Universities and employers will be comparing apples with apples as opposed to examination board assessed grades Vs teacher assessed. Short of another viral calamity of course!

We are already at the end of the first half term and in the blink of an eye it will be Christmas again. Time marches on and there really is no better time than now to be preparing and strategising to ensure the best of outcomes for students.

If your child is struggling, please get help now and don’t leave it until it’s laid bare in the mock exams. The grading of exams in 2023 is going to feel harsh compared with recent years and it will expose weaknesses which could be easily resolved ahead of time.

I know only too well, both personally and from my work with MST Foundation, just how challenging an environment we’re in today. Distractions and pressures are everywhere, with media hype in overdrive the new normal.

It’s easy to assume that gaining that extra help is a financial step too far, or you can’t get an experienced private tutor for your budget. But if may surprise you to know that I run small group tuition lessons online each week during term time which are extremely competitively priced, and each class is delivered by me.

With 15,000+ hours of successful one to one tutoring under my belt, you’re in safe hands for the price of a new grad!

Additionally, you may qualify for the pay what you can afford approach (including pro bono lessons) via MST Foundation, the charity I’ve set up to help disadvantaged children have access to a brighter future. Click here for more information.

If you feel your child needs help or support to achieve their academic goals, please do feel free to contact me to see how I may be able to help. There really are many affordable options available to you.
