Merry Christmas from MST

As someone who, like most parents of school age children, lives his life by the term, I’m still amazed that Christmas is upon us once again. If your home is anything like mine, it is already filled with unbridled excitement at the impending arrival of Father Christmas and of course a present or two!

Christmas is also a lovely time to get a chance to unwind and hopefully that extends beyond the children to parents too.

For many of our children, the New Year will see a heavy focus on exams, with the first hurdle being the mock exams. I feel that it’s important for students to be able to get a break from academia and to rest the grey matter for a bit.

When it comes to revision, I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity. Setting a plan and taking some focused time to sit down and work through course materials without distraction is a highly productive way to revise. Dipping in and out of books or scanning online, between favourite movies and social activities may feel like more fun at the time, but it will be far less fruitful. As a private tutor that guides many students to exam success, please trust me on this!

For the moment, that is enough talk of studies and exams. I’d simply like to wish each of you a wonderful Christmas and I hope that 2019 brings you much success.

With warmest regards,

Muhammad.
